Can one little girl save the natural world? Meet Amor - and ancient African forces on her side. Orisha Tales is a magical picture book series that follows Amor, a curious girl with deep Caribbean roots, as she learns from the Orishas who care for the natural world. In this series, each story blends mythology and cultural heritage, inviting young readers to explore the world around them - through wonder, responsibility, and song. Drawing on Yoruba heritage and Afro-Cuban traditions, the series gently introduces children to new languages, rhythms, and ways of seeing the world.

These books were written to be lived in. Opening mythology from the well-known Greeks and Romans to West African. The dream is that children will find friends in this series - books to be carried from room to room, and roughed pages passed down through generations as beloved family treasures. Behind every page of Orisha Tales is a dedicated team of human creators who bring their own imagination, heritage, and love to every word and image. AI has no place here.

The series has been recognized with a Sachs Program for Arts Innovation grant from the University of Pennsylvania.
